UEFA has announced that Francois Letexier will be the referee for the Euro 2024 final between Spain and England, so here is everything that you need to know about him.
La Roja and the Three Lions will clash in Berlin this Sunday at the Olympiastadion with a slice of history available. Spain can become the first country to win four European Championships this summer, while England are pushing for their first title after reaching the Euro 2024 final.
Spain last won the European Championships at Euro 2012 when La Roja defended their title from 2008. But this summer is only the second time that England will play in the showpiece contest of UEFA’s premier continental competition after losing in the Euro 2020 final to Italy.

The Azzurri denied England their first crown on penalties at Wembley three years ago. Yet it was spot-kicks which put the Three Lions into the semi-finals over Switzerland and a penalty from Harry Kane which helped set up a win over the Netherlands via Ollie Watkins’ late goal.
Lamine Yamal’s magic, meanwhile, moved Spain onto the final stage with his wondergoal in the semi-finals against France. The FC Barcelona wonderkid overturned Randal Kolo Muani’s early effort with a Goal of the Tournament contender before Dani Olmo swiftly netted again.
